Procurement and Contracting
Procurement services are routinely provided by INTECSEA in support of Marine Riser System projects, including the preparation of material requisitions, pre-qualification of vendors, preparing, obtaining and evaluating bids and the preparation of purchase orders for Client approval. Onsite Quality Assurance and HSE are maintained through shop and plant inspection, expedition of transport and delivery and processing and control of vendor invoices.
Effective project management may initially require definition and/or evaluation of a suitable contracting strategy. In the area of construction contracting the INTECSEA philosophy is to maintain a competitive climate in order to obtain the lowest installation costs for the developer. Use of innovative installation techniques is also encouraged. Competition is enhanced by a design which does not penalize any method or contractor and by a thorough pre-qualification effort in selecting potential bidders.
INTECSEA has extensive experience in preparing pre-qualification inquiries, proposing recommended bidder lists, preparing and issuing construction tender documents, obtaining and evaluating bids and recommending the most effective contracting solution. INTECSEA has developed procedures for objective and detailed technical and economic assessment of construction proposals, so that potential difficulties may be identified early and dealt with prior to contract execution. INTECSEA is also capable of supplying experienced assistance during contract negotiations.
